"What do you associate with fungi, mushrooms and toadstools? To me, they are magical and mysterious beings. Fungi have intrigued me from a young age and my interest in their curious ways of growing, have stuck with me to this day. This zine is an offering of gratitude to all the things they have taught me. It explains what mushrooms are and gives an insight into the history of mycology (the study of fungi). It also looks at how mushrooms and lichen are magical and queer organisms. To the decomposers, the slime moulds and our interconnectedness with all living things!"
* Queer Mycology is one of eight new zines commissioned by Out of the Blueprint for Print Expo 2023, sustainably riso printed in Leith using rice ink on recycled paper.
Allow for imperfections - each is handfolded and printed with riso which means the booklets slightly vary from one another :-)
